When rains and floodwaters deluged Manoa on March 23, it forced the closure of Hokulani Elementary School for the rest of this school year. But in-person learning for Hokulani’s roughly 270 students resumed Thursday, thanks to Palolo Elementary School, which is taking in the pre-kindergarteners through second-graders; and Aliiolani Elementary School, taking in the third- through fifth-graders. For needed continuity, all students will remain with their original teachers.
