Off the news: HPD rolls out traffic safety campaign

It’s alarming that Oahu traffic deaths are surging — to 55 compared with 26 at this time last year. So it’s important that the Honolulu Police Department has launched its “Safer Roads, Together” campaign, to stem the number of preventable fatalities and injuries. On Tuesday morning, 28 officers were at five roadway locations and schools to promote safe driving and pedestrian behavior.
