The state’s Council on Revenues, which forecasts tax collections feeding Hawaii’s general fund, projects slightly more money will come in through June 30, 2027. The revenue total is expected to be $9.8 billion rather than $9.7 billion, giving Gov. Josh Green extra moolah to work with in scrutinizing line items on next year’s budget. Note, however, that Green cut $110 million from last year’s budget. So … did we break even?
