Off the news: Never leave animals, keiki in hot cars

The warning applies year-round in the islands: Do not, under any circumstances, leave children, people with disabilities or pets alone inside a parked vehicle, where temperatures can soar to life-threatening levels in minutes. Rolling windows down or parking in the shade is not enough, as temperatures can still reach deadly levels.
