Off the news: Saturday deadline for Kona-low aid

Applications remain open for FEMA assistance to homeowners or renters with uninsured losses because of March’s Kona-low storms — but only through Saturday. The aid is available to Honolulu, Hawaii or Maui county residents who suffered damage to residences, vehicles or personal property, or incurred emergency medical or childcare expenses that insurance didn’t cover.
