Off the news: Turn in guns for gift cards, public safety

The city and state will team up for a gun buyback Friday at the Waianae Police Station: Unloaded, container-secured firearms, bump stocks and Glock switches (no ammunition) in a vehicle’s trunk will be accepted, no questions asked, in exchange for gift cards valued at $100 to $600.
