Second Open Market cancelled due to APEC

The City announced Wednesday that the People’s Open Market at the Fasi Municipal Building parking deck will be closed on November 7 and 14 due to heightened security at City Hall and surrounding civic center grounds.

Operation will resume the following Monday, November 21, from 11:45 a.m. to
12:30 p.m.

On Tuesday the City announced that the People’s Open Market at Kapiolani Park, on the corner of Paki Street and Monsarrat Avenue, will be closed on November 2 and 9 to accommodate Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (APEC) security requirements.

Heightened security at the Fasi Municipal Building and surrounding Civic Center grounds also means that no camping permits will be issued on Thursday, November 10
and Monday, November 14 at any Satellite City Hall Office or at the Fasi Municipal  Building.

Camping permits will be issued starting on Tuesday, November 15th, at the Kapolei and Wahiawa Satellite City Hall Offices, and at the Fasi located at 650 South King St, Ground Floor. Regular office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed on weekends and holidays.  City offices will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2011 in observance of the Veteran’s Day Holiday.
