Skywatch: Distant star formation seen as source of ghost particles

Astronomers using the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope, Submillimeter Array, Subaru Telescope and Gemini North Telescope on Mauna Kea published a study showing the strongest evidence yet that distant star-forming galaxies contribute to the production of one of the universe’s most mysterious ghost particles — neutrinos.
