State sheriffs sworn in Saturday ahead of ‘Freedom 250’ events

Three Hawaii sheriffs were among dozens of officers sworn in as Special Deputy U.S. Marshals on Saturday during a ceremony on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial as part of a federal security surge ahead of Freedom 250 events marking the Nation’s 250th birthday.
