Tech View: Assistive technology enhances care for kupuna

Hawaii has one of the fastest growing senior populations in the nation. In 2010, Hawaii residents age 60 and above comprised about 20% of the state’s total population. According to data from the Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, by 2040, about 14 years from now, that percentage is expected to jump to 28.5%.
