If you’re a mother at UH Manoa there’s now a dedicated room at Hamilton Library .. where you can go to breast feed your baby.
The only other option used to be an office in the Liliuokalani Center but that wasn’t always available.
"We really needed to have a place that was dedicated to that one purpose that would be available to women whenever they needed it," said UH Librarian Gwen Sinclair.
"This new lactation room, I think is a great service. And especially students. There was no service like this before on campus," said UH student employee Nargis Sultna.
Students will need to show their UH ID.
You can reserve the room for 30 minutes at a time and up to two hours every day.
