The Hawaii Stadium Authority unanimously approved a concert at Aloha Stadium starring R&B artist Usher.
According to the Stadium Authority, the concert will take place on Friday, December 30.
It will be the first time the artist performs in Hawaii.
It will be an all ages show and the promoter expects to sell at least 30,000 tickets.
The promoter is also trying to line up some local acts to perform.
Officials say Usher is flying to Hawaii specifically for this show.
The concert is still contingent on Usher signing a contract, however the singer’s promoter indicated Usher expressed willingness to perform in Hawaii.
Ticket information was not immediately available.
