The busy holiday season kicks off in Las Vegas with the National Finals Rodeo running Dec. 4-13. The 10 major events are expected to draw sellout crowds of 17,000 every day; last year, 170,050 tickets were sold. During this period, lots of casinos host country acts in their lounges and showrooms, along with other rodeo-centric events. Good targets for rodeo fans are the Plaza, Palms, Resorts World, Rio, The Strat, Cosmopolitan, Fontainebleau, Treasure Island, Silverton, Sam’s Town, Orleans, South Point and Westgate. On Dec. 3, the Fremont Street Experience will host the “Downtown Hoedown” free concert.
