Visitor had no intention of harming monk seal, attorney says

The 38-year-old man from Washington state facing federal charges for allegedly throwing a rock at a Hawaiian monk seal off Lahaina this month did not know it is an endangered species, regrets his actions and had no intention of harming the marine mammal, according to his attorney.
