The suspect in a deadly stabbing over the weekend is no longer in police custody.
Police released the 39-year-old man pending further investigation.
The stabbing happened early Sunday morning in Waikiki.
Police say 20-year-old Brycen Iona and his friend stole a bag.
The bag’s owner chased after them, stabbed Iona and his friend, and left.
Iona later died.
The 39-year-old suspect was not charged.
