A 39-year old man was arrested late Saturday night after he allegedly assaulted a 33-year old woman in a car. It happened about 11:15 p.m. on Kamehameha Highway near Whitmore Avenue. The female was transported to a trauma center in critical condition. The suspect was arrested for first degree assault.
